WAA Event – Raw and Real

Our next WAA night will be held on Monday 28th August at 7pm, in the Upper Room, 2 Mieke Court, Burleigh Heads.

I have titled the evening ‘Raw and Real’. The Lord has laid it on my heart to have a night where we will talk about mental health attacking our children, grandchildren and people we may know. Anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addictions and many other mental health issues are plaguing our society, with its effects of family breakdown and strife.

One of the fallouts of mental illness is fractured families, through misunderstandings, leading to alienation, separation, and loss of contact with children and/or grandchildren.

This is heartbreaking for women and for men also.

The enemy is vicious and wants families to shatter and isolate. We as Christians are not immune.

Some women will be sharing, and there will be a time of warfare and prayer.

I have called the evening ‘raw and real’ because to be vulnerable and share our struggles is not easy. However there is great power as the light is shone on something that we like to keep hidden, often struggling on our own.

Supper will be served and an offering will be taken. Please feel free to invite any women that you know who may be interested in attending this evening.

If you have any queries, or would like to contact me, my details are found below.

I hope you can join us on what I know will be a powerful evening.
