God is raising up the Great Company of Women in this hour and it is both exciting and challenging to be a part of God’s end time army of women. Women’s Apostolic Alliance is very strategic in its role for His women in both training and equipping but also providing a platform for them to have a voice.
PSALM 68:11
The Lord commands the word; the women who proclaim and publish (the good news) are a great army (company).
At the heart of this word is VICTORY!
A GREAT COMPANY OF WOMEN – it says a great emphasis on the word GREAT Company of women.
There are a couple of points I want to focus on:
1. The Lord gives the command. It is not by the hand of any man or woman, it is God. His word declares it and it is so.
2. The women who proclaim the good news are a mighty army. This is exciting. It means the women have a voice – they are not constrained by religious doctrine, but the full expression of these women will be heard. They will proclaim the good news – publishing it – literally getting their words published, their unique sound, their voices and the full expression of this great army will be displayed. And they will be heard!
The context of these verses is a holy warfare. God goes with the armies of Israel and achieves the victory. It was the women who proclaimed the good news of God’s victory over the enemy. I think we can all attest to the fact that the enemy has and is vicious against God’s women, children and families. The injustices done against women often feel beyond what we can bare, however the good news is we will speak, we will confront the enemy, and we will not be silent.
So does this make us look like a GREAT COMPANY OF WOMEN?
God is doing something that we have not seen before. Prophetically He is doing a work that we are in the midst of. We need a change of mindset. We can’t hold onto the old way of doing things. There is a new way, a new preparing that is ushering in the final prepare ye the way of the Lord.
The time of us all having our own entities, doing our own thing in isolation is over. With the emerging of the apostles and prophets and the apostles taking their rightful place we are, and will see a huge change in the way things will be done.
There must be collaboration. The meaning of collaboration is an action of working with someone to produce something or create or achieve something.
So what is God looking for from His women? What needs to change and what is required from us for change to come?
Following are some keys for us to consider:
A GENEROSITY OF SPIRIT:
This is having an openness and willingness to share our own gifts freely with others, joyously, willingly and without expectation of receiving anything in return.
It is the opposite of what’s in it for self, how can I make things work for me so I am at an advantage.
It is where we abdicate any ownership of our gifts and talents, or withholding what rightfully benefits and blesses others.
Sacrifice is always involved – where we have to give up something in order for someone else to benefit. Instead of cutting someone down, keeping them back so you can advance, it is the opposite of the tall poppy syndrome.
HOW CAN I ADD TO?
It is tied in with having a generous spirit. In the big picture of where God wants to take us we have to have a different way of thinking.
Again we need to see the big picture and ask how can I add to? What do these women have that we need? If you lead a women’s group someone over there in another group may have what you are looking for to help you flourish and bring break through. This is cross-pollination at work.
CROSS POLLINATION: When something grows or is stimulated by the introduction of a different element.
Unfortunately our sinful nature can block us from receiving what another has to offer because we are possessive, having a false ownership. We fear someone will take something or someone who belongs to us. Insecurities rear up and we fear they may be ‘better than me’ by using some false measuring stick.
We have to be bigger than this and see from God’s perspective and in humility seek the Lord about who can add to. They will not take away from anything you are building, but they might just be the pivotal key for bringing breakthrough and growth to your group.
UNITY OF PURPOSE:
The great company of women will have a unity of purpose. There will be a common goal – to advance God’s Kingdom here on earth. Now is the hour to be a collective voice with a vision to see the establishment of the saints coming into their call and destiny? The saints will include the army of women.
We have to get over our suspicion of one another, seeing another group as a threat, or perceived threat. It is a lie of the enemy to bring a subtle division. We fall into the trap of 1 Corinthians 2:3,4
For you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?
For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?
There is a higher standard that God is looking from us right now. If we are to come into maturity in the Spirit we need to see from a wider perspective. Not from a motivation of self but from a heart of what can I bring to bless these women.
EMBRACING DIVERSITY:
There is a lie of the enemy that has us all think we need to conform to some sort of way of doing and being so we are all the same. This is religion. We should never be clones of a leader.
God created diversity – that is embracing the individual as well as collective anointing and mandate of each woman’s group.
KNOWING WHERE WE FIT IN THE BODY OF CHRIST:
I believe the Lord wants to break off a small-minded vision of where and how we fit in the body of Christ.
Again in the big picture if one of us is not in the right position because we are withholding in some way then we are blocking God’s plan and purposes. The great company of women will all know their place, will be secure in it, and will stand with and in unity proclaim God’s power and victory.
