A poem by Patricia Usiobaifu, a member of Women’s Apostolic Alliance.
This short poem focuses on on how God sees us and our circumstances as opposed to how we often view them.
In the midst of hurt, betrayal, tears and pain
I have cried out to God, again and again
For direction, answers, wisdom to come
For a way to move forward from what has been done
In the silence that followed, I came to realise
That God sees this very differently through His eyes
He sees opportunity to triumph, stretch and grow
Opportunities to overcome and for love and grace to flow
He sees me not as a victim but as a victor
Some one who can rise above
Someone who can answer hate and hurt, with His unfailing love.
