WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS? – PART 4

Margaret Ochsner

This is part 4 of a teaching by Margaret Ochsner, a member of Women’s Apostolic Alliance.

JESUS

Jesus was focused! Jesus didn’t let anything distract Him from His call.

Jesus was prepared to pay the price for our sin and our freedom, because He loved His Father and wanted to obey and bless Him, and reconcile us back to His Father.

Hebrews 12:2

… Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

SATAN

Satan is focused. He hates God. He rose up in pride and rebellion. He wanted to be worshipped and be greater than God, so he was cast out of heaven with a third of the angels that rebelled with him. The earlier that he can bruise and wound a person, he will.

He wants to abort God’s plan for our lives.

1 Peter 5:8

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.”

But Jesus defeated Satan on our behalf at the cross! He stripped him of his authority and gave us authority over the devil. Satan can only access where ground is given to him.

Satan goes about like a roaring lion. (He is just a big copy cat!) He is no lion!

Jesus is the real lion! He is the lion of the tribe of Judah! He is on our case! We are on the winning side. We are a majority with Him. He will roar on our behalf! The battle is His and the victory is ours when we trust in Him!

WE NEED TO BE FOCUSED

Hebrews12:1

Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin that so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

Let us choose to believe that God is bigger than any circumstance or problem! That He has the answers! He is the answer! He is Almighty God, the same yesterday, today and forever!

Romans 8:31

“If God is for us, who can be against us!”

Matthew 19:26

With God all things are possible.

Let us focus on Him in the midst of the circumstance or problem and see the God move on our behalf. The battle is His and the victory is ours if we will only believe!
